Anti-Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery Policy
Last Updated: September 14, 2026
MoreTasks (“the Company,” “we,” or “us”) is firmly committed to maintaining a work environment that is free from human trafficking, modern slavery, forced labour, and other forms of involuntary labour. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach toward any practice that exploits, coerces, or unlawfully restricts an individual’s freedom and dignity in connection with our business or operations.
This policy aligns with the MoreTasks Code of Conduct and reflects our commitment to respecting human rights, fair employment practices, and ethical business conduct. It is designed with reference to applicable Indian law, the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018, and the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act, to the extent relevant to MoreTasks’ operations and its clients’ supply chain due diligence requirements.
The policy applies to all employees, workers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, recruitment partners, business associates, subsidiaries, and other third parties who directly or indirectly provide services to or act on behalf of MoreTasks. We expect all such parties to comply with this policy and must not engage in, facilitate, or be complicit in any practice involving human trafficking, slavery, forced labour, or unlawful employment.
Key Features of the Policy
MoreTasks respects the fundamental rights and dignity of every individual. In accordance with these principles, MoreTasks refrains from the following practices and is committed to the following:
- Engaging in any form of trafficking in persons.
- Using forced, bonded, or compulsory labour in the performance of any work.
- Destroying, concealing, confiscating, or otherwise denying an individual access to their identity or immigration documents, such as passports or driver’s licenses, regardless of the issuing authority.
- Using misleading or fraudulent practices during the recruitment of candidates or the offering of employment or contract positions, including failing to disclose, in a format and language accessible to the potential candidate, basic information or making material misrepresentations regarding key terms and conditions of employment or engagement, including wages and benefits, the location of work, living conditions, housing and associated costs, any significant costs to be charged to the candidate, and, where applicable, the hazardous nature of the work.
- Charging applicants or candidates recruitment fees, directly or indirectly.
- Where required by applicable law or contract, failing to provide an employment contract, recruitment agreement, or other required work document in writing.
- Employing any individual under the age of eighteen (18) years or below the applicable minimum legal working age, whichever is higher.
MoreTasks is committed to conducting its business in accordance with the highest professional and ethical standards and all applicable laws and regulations. We expect our suppliers, contractors, recruitment partners, and other business associates to uphold the same standards and take appropriate measures to prevent human trafficking, modern slavery, and forced labour within their operations and supply chains.
Everyone in our work environment shall be treated with dignity and respect. We do not tolerate any form of harassment, whether sexual, physical, verbal, or psychological. MoreTasks is committed to maintaining and continually improving its systems and processes to prevent human trafficking, modern slavery, forced labour, and other forms of exploitation in its operations.
Implementation Mechanisms
This Policy is publicly available to all stakeholders and is communicated to employees through induction programs, policy manuals, and other appropriate internal communication channels. Employees involved in recruitment, procurement, and supplier management receive targeted training on identifying and responding to indicators of human trafficking, modern slavery, and forced labour, refreshed on a periodic basis.
We maintain employment records and other relevant documentation in accordance with applicable laws and internal requirements. Such records include information necessary to verify compliance with applicable employment standards and are made available to authorized personnel or relevant statutory authorities where required.
MoreTasks conducts a risk assessment of its operations and supply chain in relation to human trafficking, modern slavery, and forced labour on an annual basis, or more frequently where a material change in operations or supplier base occurs. This assessment considers factors such as recruitment channels, use of third-party labour agencies, geographic risk, and workforce composition. Higher-risk areas identified through this process are subject to enhanced due diligence, which may include supplier questionnaires, on-site verification, or contractual audit rights. Any identified or reported incident is investigated and escalated to the relevant authority where required by law.
Reporting Concerns
MoreTasks encourages employees and other stakeholders to raise concerns about suspected human trafficking, slavery, forced labour, or other violations of this policy.
Concerns can be reported to hr@moretasks.com, or to any member of the Human Resources team. Reports are handled responsibly and, where appropriate, investigated in accordance with applicable policies and laws, as described under “Investigation Process” below.
MoreTasks does not tolerate retaliation against any individual who raises a concern or participates in an investigation in good faith. An employee or other party who violates this policy will be subject to appropriate disciplinary proceedings by MoreTasks, including, but not limited to, disclosure of the violation to Government officials, when required by law or contract, and termination.
Investigation Process
The Human Resources function is responsible for overseeing the implementation of this Policy and coordinating the investigation of any suspected or reported violation. Any employee, worker, contractor, supplier, recruitment partner, or other business associate who becomes aware of a suspected instance of human trafficking, modern slavery, forced labour, child labour, or any other violation of this Policy should report the matter promptly to the designated Human Resources representative or through the applicable internal reporting channel.
Reports should, where possible, be submitted in writing through the designated company email address and should include relevant details such as the nature of the concern, the individuals or entities involved, the date and location of the incident, and any supporting information or documentation available. Reports may be made in good faith even where the reporting person does not have complete information. MoreTasks shall maintain appropriate confidentiality in relation to reported concerns and restrict access to information to authorized personnel with a legitimate need to know, subject to applicable law and investigation requirements.
The Human Resources function, in consultation with appropriate internal or external personnel where required, shall assess reported concerns and determine the appropriate course of action. Investigations shall be conducted fairly, objectively, and in accordance with applicable laws, including applicable Indian laws and European Union or Member State requirements where relevant to MoreTasks’ operations, employees, customers, or business relationships. MoreTasks shall take appropriate corrective or remedial action where a breach is substantiated and shall cooperate with competent authorities where required by law. Any personal information collected or processed as part of an investigation shall be handled in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the GDPR, where applicable.
Consultation
MoreTasks reviews this Policy at least annually, alongside the effectiveness assessment described above, to ensure it remains aligned with applicable laws and regulatory requirements. The Company may update the Policy to reflect legal, regulatory, or organisational developments.
Employees are expected to comply with the Policy and raise concerns through the appropriate internal channels. Violations may result in corrective action, up to and including termination of employment, subject to applicable laws and Company procedures.
